The Office of Senator John Boozman is seeking an intern to primarily assist with mailroom duties in his Washington, D.C. office. In this role, the intern will not be required to give Capitol tours or answer phones. Rather, the intern will assist the Correspondence Manager with daily processing of the mail and will work closely with the legislative staff to ensure that correspondence is processed and responded to in a timely manner. Applicants should be responsible, focused, self-motivated, and organized. This is an excellent opportunity for those seeking practical, hands-on experience in a Capitol Hill office. Preferred start date would be as soon as practicable and end date is May 26th. This internship is unpaid, but academic credit is available for qualifying students. Candidates must have completed at least two years of undergraduate study and must either be a U.S. citizen or in the U.S. legally. Prospective applicants should email firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line “Mailroom Intern” and include an updated resume, cover letter, and contact information of at least 2 references.
