U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal seeks a legislative director for his Washington, D.C. office. Successful candidates will manage a highly active team, provide strategic legislative advice to the Senator in consultation with other senior staff, and oversee the legislative correspondence process, among other duties. Qualified candidates will have a thorough knowledge of the Senate legislative process, have the ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively inside and outside of the office, providing the necessary organization, supervisory, and leadership skills to motivate and manage the legislative staff. This is not an entry-level position and candidates must possess several years of relevant experience on Capitol Hill and demonstrate expert knowledge of the policy making process.
