Public Relations/Marketing Specialist

The Public Relations Marketing Specialist will help manage the strategic marketing, public relations activities and internal as well as external communication for the hospital and all its services. The Specialist will work with the Director of PR & Marketing and internal teams to develop strategic and cost-effective public relations and marketing strategies to support the business goals of the hospital, develop marketing materials for target audiences (potential patients, physicians, case managers, etc.), manage strategic internal communications to include the employee newsletter and other strategic messages to staff and physicians, manage and update content and information on the hospital website in order to promote the entities and their services to potential customers, work with the Director of PR & Marketing to identify and coordinate participation in strategic events that support marketing and business objectives, assist the Director of PR & Marketing in managing the annual marketing budgets, coordinate and manage all public relations and marketing photo shoots and video shoots, work with leadership teams to identify success stories for use in promoting the entity and its services as well as work with media for stories highlighting services. This position may periodically require work at events in the evenings and/or weekends.
Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, communication, journalism, or related field required.
Experience: At least 3 years working in marketing, public relations or communications preferably in a healthcare environment but not required
Skills: Strong writer, exceptional communicator, work well in a fast paced environment, must be able to multi-task to include multiple projects
