Part Time Campaign Coordinator
Local MA candidate seeks campaign coordinator for 12 hours per week June-August with opportunity to increase to 24 hours Sept-Nov 5th. Candidate is an experienced elected official. Focus of campaign is largely apolitical - community engagement, professionalized government, open process, and better results for all through empowered citizenry. However, candidate possess center-left political alignment and is part of growing group of women seeking higher office.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Volunteer coordination. Organize a growing list if spirited volunteers to support key campaign goals, including canvassing. Attention to detail, responsiveness, humor, and comfort with technology all key attributes.
- Media and correspondence content creation. Assists with outreach to core constituencies through drafting letter, media statements, social media posts and website updates for editing by candidate and campaign team and ultimate publication or mailing.
- Research. Assist campaign in learning more about evolving issues brought to the attention of the candidate
- Event support. Attend events with the candidate and assist with follow-up, including social media presence. Reliability in independently executing assigned work will be key.
Position is paid. Hours flexibile, with preference for availability during some nights and weekends.
