FutureEd, a highly regarded, independent, solution-oriented national think tank at Georgetown University's McCourt School of Public Policy, is hiring an enterprising multi-tasker with great analytic and communication skills to help us promote excellence and equity in the K-12 and higher education systems. Learn from the inside how an influential policy center works and be a part of the national education conversation at the highest levels.
FutureEd’s Policy Analyst plays several key roles, including conducting research on a wide range of education policy topics, writing for a variety of FutureEd publications, contributing to external professional and general-circulation publications, managing our team of McCourt School student research assistants, managing FutureEd’s social media accounts, and contributing to our external-relations efforts.
Reporting to the FutureEd Director, and working closely with the Editorial Director, research assistants, senior fellows and research advisory board members, as well as a wide range of external organizations, the Policy Analyst has duties that include but are not limited to:
Education Policy Research
Conduct research on, and write about, a wide range of K-12 and higher education policy topics
Student Research Assistants
Manage the work of the 3-4 FutureEd student employees
- Coordinate FutureEd’s work with a range of external partners
- Manage FutureEd webinars and other externally facing events
- Manage the development of FutureEd mailing lists
Manage FutureEd’s Social Media Accounts
Write and produce supporting graphics for FutureEd Twitter and LinkedIn accounts
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Experience in education policy preferred
